You humbled me through building me up and breaking me down, multiple times.
You didn’t teach me to be patient, you made me be patient.
You showed me that sometimes there is no easy option to do something, there is just a way it has to be. Do that, and move on.
You showed me what happens when one puts too much emphasis on work.
You showed me how much more powerful it is to ignore rather than insult.
You taught me that “its just business”.
You made it very clear who my true friends are.
You taught me that having a handful of genuine people to count on is enough.
You showed me the importance of having friends who are mentors, and mentors who are friends.
You showed me there will always be people looking for favors with no intent on ever repaying.
You taught me that those people are not worth keeping in touch with.
You taught me to forgive, but don’t ever forget.
You showed me who is worth a second chance. Especially those that give second chances.
You taught me the importance of taking a chance and investing in myself.
You backed me into a corner, made me hungry and put that chip back on my shoulder. That is when I’m at my best.
You taught me that 2012 is going to be incredible.
You ran out of time, but I’m just getting started.
